Section 2
Definition
In this Act, unless the subject or context requires otherwise,-
(a) "Commission" means the Medical Education Commission under Section 3.
(b) “Chairman” means the Chairman of the Commission.
(c) "Participatory teaching institution" means a private campus, medical college or teaching institution providing medical education under its own ownership and investment of the University.
(d) "Higher education" means medical education at the graduate level or above.
(e) "Vice-Chairman" means the Vice-Chairman of the Commission (f) "Medical education" means all types and levels of education related to health professions (health professional education).
(g) "Medical education expert" means an expert who provides service, teaching and research in any type of health service and the term also refers to medical education law expert.
(h) "Prescribed" or "as prescribed" means prescribed or prescribed in the rules made under this Act.
(i) "Director" means a director under section 29.
(j) "Directorate" or "Board" means the directorate or board under section 28.
(k) "Council" means the Technical Education and Vocational Training Council established in accordance with existing laws.
(l) "Instructor" means a person appointed to teach at the certificate level of an educational institution.
(d) “Establishment” means an establishment established under prevailing law for imparting medical education.
(l) "Eligibility order" means the order of eligibility as determined by the results of the examination and other prescribed grounds as prescribed by the Commission.
(n) "University" means a university established in accordance with the prevailing law to provide medical education.
(s) “Teacher (Faculty)”It means professors, associate professors and deputy professors who provide teaching, service and research in educational institutions that provide medical education with at least a master's degree in a related subject for teaching higher education.
(q) "Teaching fee" means admission, teaching, lab, library, community training or examination fee charged by the educational institution during the period of study of medical education and the term also refers to other fees charged by the educational institution with the approval of the Commission.
(d) "Educational institution" means a medical college or educational institution providing medical education established in accordance with prevailing law and the term also includes the extended program permission granted to operate an educational institution.
(d) "Committee" means the Executive Committee as per Section 8.
(N) "Affiliation" means a formal academic affiliation granted by the University or by the Technical Education and Vocational Training Council for the purpose of conducting its educational programs, admissions, faculty structure, examination methods and degrees to be followed by an educational institution.
(c) "Public teaching institution" means a government, public guthi or other educational institution established using government, community or public property.
